After over a decade of building a solid career in compliance consulting with international enterprises, including leading the Central Compliance Team at Trade Republic, I felt a growing desire to carve out my own path. I wanted the freedom to choose my clients and focus on projects I was truly passionate about. This desire led me to found my own company, **JS Consulting GmbH**.
Yet, the decision to step into self-employment came with many uncertainties: “Will I find enough clients?” “Can I manage all aspects of the business?” “What if I fail?” As a woman in a traditionally male-dominated field, I also questioned whether I would be taken seriously and how I would balance the demands of running a business with personal commitments.
Overcoming Doubts and Building Confidence
The initial months were a whirlwind of juggling multiple roles—consultant, marketer, accountant, and more. With each challenge I faced, my confidence grew, and I realized how valuable my experience in strategic thinking, compliance, and project management was for my new venture.
During this time, I also began a journey to become a business coach, driven by my passion for helping others succeed. This training expanded my skill set and enabled me to better support my clients and peers in their entrepreneurial pursuits.
